Sign up for Community Volunteer Days

Spend a Saturday morning supporting our farms! Not only will you be helping us through the seasons, but you will also give our youth a chance to practice their leadership skills and public speaking!

Saturdays from 8-12

2436 Sheldon Street

or

2605 E 25th Street

Help those who lack access to fresh, affordable, high-quality food in your community, learn more about growing food sustainably, and spend time outside on a farm as a volunteer!

Tasks may include moving compost, prepping beds, mulching, transplanting, harvesting, weeding, turning the compost pile, etc. Volunteers should be ready to do all sorts of manual labor, rain or shine! In exchange for their labor, work-for-share volunteers receive fresh veggies from our farms!

Upcoming projects include:

  • Clearing our Sheldon Street farm of expired plants and pulling weeds to prep for next year's crops

  • Moving compost into our newly constructed compost bins

  • Converting our tomato tunnel at EMCC to a greenhouse where we will start all of our plants for the spring and summer seasons

  • Rebuilding raised beds that have fallen into disrepair
